App-V Error 05-00000107

Event:

Starting/Running the application

Error Message / Sympthoms:

A newly published application does not appear in the Client MMC.

The App-V Client could not load the OSD file.

Potential Causes:

• The OSD file contains special characters and was save das ANSI or UTF-8 instead of Unicode.
• The OSD file’s XML structure is broken.

Potential Solutions:

• Open the OSD file with Notepad. Then open the "Save as" dialog. Make sure "Encoding" is set to "Unicode"
• Make a copy of the OSD file and rename it to .XML. Open that file with Internet Explorer to determine any issues
