App-V Error 0A-10000004

Event:

Publishing

Error Message / Sympthoms:

The Application Virtualization Client could not Update Publishing Information from server {servername}

Potential Causes:

• There is a network issue between the client and the Publishing Server (Firewall, network outage)
• The App-V Management Server service might be stopped
• Sometimes: An OSD file is "broken"
• • The XML structure is not valid
  • The file has been saved in "UTF-8" format

Potential Solutions:

• Verifiy the connection between the client and server, esp. on port 554
• Verify the App-V Management Server service has been started
• Verify the OSD file
